01Do I need to be employed by a security company to sign up?+
No. The platform is open to anyone preparing for the PPA, whether you already work for a security company or not. You can prepare ahead of time, at your own pace.
02How much does the official PPA exam cost?+
The PPA exam in Switzerland costs CHF 140 in total: CHF 70 for the theory part and CHF 70 for the practical part. If you fail the theory, you cannot take the practical.
03How long does preparation take?+
On average, 4 to 8 weeks are enough at 20–30 minutes per day. The 1-month plan suits candidates already familiar with the material; the 3-month plan suits those starting from scratch.
04Does access renew automatically?+
No. You pay once for the duration you choose. No automatic charges. You decide if you want to extend.
05Is there a mobile app?+
The platform works as an app on iPhone and Android (installable PWA from your browser). Native iOS and Android apps are planned for late 2026.
06Is the PPA exam available in English?+
No — and this matters: the official PPA exam is held only in Switzerland's national languages (French, German or Italian), not in English. This English interface helps you navigate the platform, but the official questions and their explanations are currently displayed in French, with German and Italian versions validated by native experts in preparation. We recommend practising in the language you will sit the exam in.
